The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (Iowa JPEC) seeks to expand access to entrepreneurship and innovation education and experiences across the entire campus. These funds will be used as follows:
Acceleration of New Venture Formation:
- Support for University of Iowa Startups and technology commercialization spinouts. Founders assisted will include undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff. Support will include short-term projects by Entrepreneurs-in-Residents who are industry professionals with technical and specialty expertise. For example, an A.I. Strategist will develop and implement A.I tools for the startup businesses. Other examples of technical assistance may include prototype and minimum viable product development as well as website and app development.
